Hi Folks,
Starting tonight the tournaments resume!! It will be Pacifica Open with the lower rated person going first. The same cards banned on Sunday nights will also be banned in the Wednesday tournies.
I am so grateful that DVL ran the tournaments on Wednesday nights. I was happy I was able to run them for a while previously. When DVL is ready to return, I'd like to be his back-up for times he is not able to run the tournies. It is a big load for a single individual, especially if you are married, or have other major family/work committments. And until he returns, I would like to do my best to run the Wednesday night tournies. There will usually be prizes, because I have a hell of a lot of cards. But I will use my discretion. If 8 or more folks show up, there will be more prizes...
Oh by the way, what is your favorite day for a non-Sunday tournament?
And what time is your preference for a non-Sunday tournament?
Please please answer.
Even if you think Wednesday IS the best night, what time? 19:00? 20:00?
Thanks to DVL for putting the question out there. And thanks to DVL for running regular, interesting tournaments.

First of all, thanks for putting forth your time to run some tournaments (and a retroactive thanks to DVL who ran them before I came back).
As for days for non-Sunday tournaments, I usually have commitments Monday through Thursday so Fridays and Saturdays are best for me.
As for times, I live in Atlantic Canada so I'm 1 hour ahead of server time. As long as they don't start or run incredibly late I don't think time is an issue.

TadK won with 3 wins.
Mashedpotatoes was second with 2 wins.
DVL and PeaceNIck had 1 each.
Puck and Ruddeger also showed up to visit.
See you all next week. We will do Asia Open 45/4.

Tad K won for the second straight week. However, this week two newcomers tied him for first: Mashed Potatoes and Rudegger. Peace Nick rounded out the tourney.
Next week: Pacifica, 50/4, lower ranked player goes first (all games are ranked). Same banned cards as Sunday nights.

50/4 (decks must have 50 cards or more)
Pacifica
Banned card list is the same as Sunday nights (does anyone have the link to the banned card list?)
Ranked (games should be ranked)
Lower ranked player goes first!!!
Prizes will be provided by me, Cappy.

Puck did make it into the core.
UN Rat won the tourney. Puck came in second. Peace Nick came in fourth.
Three other players were not able to connect because of, I can only surmise, firewall issues.
Next week is Europe, 55/4, ranked games, lower ranked player goes first.
I will give out some small prizes.

Hey, I can't run tonight's tournament. Family stuff.
This is why I am best as a back up judge.
Hopefully DVL is back...

Peace Nick won the tourney Wednesday, February 3rd.
I've been running ranked tournies just as a way to 1) get a few folks on the ranked boards; and to make it clearer which player goes first (I have the lower ranked player go first in most of my tournies).
If you are able to take over on the Wednesday night tournies, DVL, I will happily be one of your backup Judges. HOpe all is well in school.

The server appears to be down.
